Beverly Webster, Chair of Charlie's Trust was also Charlie's Aunt. She says that those closest to Charlie have been comforted by the outpouring of support from both people and the corporate community, which has been particularly generous. Beverley runs Prosperis, a wealth management company based in Leeds and Sheffield.

Welcome to the home of Charlie's Trust.

We are a charitable trust, set up in 2008 to work towards the advancement of educational opportunities for children and young people in South Yorkshire and North East Derbyshire. It was set up by the parents of Charlie Liversidge who died in April 2008 after being knocked down in a neighbours driveway. For more information on Charlie and what led his parents to set up the trust, please read our "about us" page.

Our aims

Our initial aim is to raise £250,000 in order to help build a community hall which will house a feeder nursery for Penny Acres Primary School in Holmesfield.

This new building will adjoin St. Swithuns Church in the village and will also double as a community facility for local Scout groups and villagers.

Current Activities

Amongst the events being organised is a five aside footbal tournament and art auctions to raise money for the trust. Kevin Newton, who works alongside Beverly Webster, is organising a sponsored trek across Iceland with several colleagues. If you follow this link to the Ice Challenge page you will be able to find out more about this ambitious fund raising effort and also read the blog, which will be updated regularly during training and once the trek is underway.
